Feather Care
Each creation from Reem Al Dhaheri features hand-applied feathers, a delicate detail that deserves special attention. Please follow these instructions to preserve the elegance and integrity of your piece:
1. Dry Clean Only
Trust only a professional dry cleaner experienced with couture or delicate fabrics. Do not attempt to launder at home.
2. No Water Contact
Avoid any exposure to water — do not wash, soak, or mist the feathered portions. Moisture may deform, mat, or loosen feathers.
3. Gentle Handling
Handle the feathered zones with care. Avoid crushing, rubbing, or pressing those areas when dressing, removing, or storing.
4. Light Steaming (If Needed)
If feathers become slightly flattened, you may gently steam from a safe distance (10–15 cm away), directing the steam around but not directly onto the feathers.
5. Avoid Sprays & Chemicals
Do not apply perfume, hairspray, deodorant, or any aerosol sprays near feathers — the chemicals may discolor or stiffen them.
6. Storage Advice
- Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated space.
- Use a breathable garment bag (cotton or muslin).
- Avoid folding the feathered regions; store flat or hang with generous space around the feathers.
- Keep away from direct sunlight and high humidity.
