Feather Care

Feathered creations by Reem Al Dhaheri feature delicate, hand-applied detailing that requires special attention. Please follow these instructions to preserve the elegance and integrity of your piece.

1. Dry Clean Only

Entrust your garment only to a professional dry cleaner experienced in handling couture and delicate fabrics. Do not attempt to wash the garment at home.

2. Avoid Contact with Water

Do not wash, soak or mist the feathered areas. Moisture may deform, mat or loosen the feathers.

3. Handle with Care

Avoid crushing, rubbing, pulling or pressing the feathered areas while wearing, removing or storing your garment.

4. Light Steaming, If Required

If the feathers become slightly flattened, apply light steam from a distance of approximately 10–15 cm. Keep the steamer moving and avoid saturating the feathers or exposing them to prolonged direct heat.

5. Avoid Sprays and Chemicals

Do not apply perfume, hairspray, deodorant or aerosol products near the feathers, as these may cause discolouration or stiffness.

6. Storage

Store your garment in a cool, dry and well-ventilated space. Use a breathable cotton or muslin garment bag and avoid folding the feathered areas. Store the piece flat or hang it with sufficient space around the feathers, away from direct sunlight and high humidity.
